NEW DELHI: Giving a ray of hope to states that they may be allowed to flash photos of chief ministers in government advertisements and hoardings, the Supreme Court on Monday decided to review of its verdict that allows pictures of only the President, Prime Minister and Chief Justice of India in such advertisements.

A bench of Justices Ranjan Gogoi and P C Ghose though pulled up the state governments for seeking review while they had abstained from the hearing while the court was adjudicating the issue. It noted that no other state except Bihar had filed response in the case and even its lawyers did not appear in the court to argue the case.
