In a relief to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Supreme Court on Tuesday exempted him from personally appearing before an Amethi court for alleged defamatory comments made in the run-up to 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

A Bench led by Justice J. Chelameswar said he need not make personal appearance in the case until further order by the Supreme Court.
