Concerned over the proliferation of websites that display pornography and perpetuate hate campaigns and their potential impact on society, Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishnan on Sunday wanted the Centre to impose a ban on such interconnected pages on the World Wide Web.
Justice Balakrishnan made the suggestion while inaugurating the Cyber Law Enforcement Programme and National Consultation Meeting, a seminar organised by the Supreme Court.
