Patel quota agitation leader Hardik Patel on Wednesday urged the Supreme Court to re-examine the sedition law to expand the citizen’s rights in times when the state was “exceptionally powerful.”
A Bench of Justices V. Gopala Gowda and Amitava Roy, however, bowed out from hearing Mr. Patel’s challenge against the Gujarat police slapping sedition charges on him for allegedly exhorting a youth to “kill” a few policemen instead of taking his own life.
