Ketan Dixit, the activist who had screened the banned documentary 'India's Daughter' in Delhi's Ravidas camp was picked up by police on Friday evening from Damini chowk in Jantar Mantar. He has been taken to RK Puram police station.
Dixit, an activist from Stop Acid Attacks NGO had screened the film at Ravidas Camp, where three of the five convicts in the Nirbhaya case live, on Thursday afternoon. Reports say the Delhi police had taken measures to prevent the screening of the film in Delhi and had directed SHOs to make sure action be taken against anyone who violates the court order to show the film. The police had invoked sections relating to violating a public order and revealing the identity of a rape victim.
