LUCKNOW: Police on Sunday arrested a student of class XI for posting objectionable images and text on WhastApp which triggered communal tension in Moradabad on Saturday evening. The minor was sent to a remand home after being produced before a court, police said.

Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Moradabad Luv Kumar said the entire conversation of the group involved in exchange of images and text has been retrieved. "It all started with a normal conversation but soon the argument between members turned ugly and the arrested minor posted an image that led to a communal flare-up," Luv Kumar said. "We are scrutinizing the role of the other group members involved in the incident and action will be initiated against those who have played a role in disturbing peace and amity here," he said.
