HYDERABAD: BJP legislator T Raja Singh on Monday denied charges of making a provocative speech aimed at fomenting communal tension. He was replying to the show cause notice issued by the Dabeerpura police in connection with a "hate speech" case.
In a correspondence to the State Minorities Commission, which sought data on the number of cases against the Goshamahal legislator, the deputy commissioner of police (west zone) A Venkateshwer Rao informed that there are three "hate speech" cases pending against Singh, all of which are under investigation and awaiting the government's nod for prosecution.
