Journalists of the PrameyaNews 7, were attacked by a group of goons of the controversial godman Banambar Mohapatra alias Bana Baba in front of his ashram in Konark. The attackers, numbering five people, attacked the reporter and cameramen of the channel while they were conducting live telecast.

Protesting the attack, locals have blocked the road near the ashram. Now it is the turn for Bana Baba of Konark. The Kakatpur Tehsildar on Monday initiated efforts to free all land encroached by the Baba on the Konark-Kakatpur Road near Bali Dokan.
