CHENNAI: Chief minister J Jayalalithaa on Tuesday filed a criminal defamation case against Tamil weekly Nakkeeran for publishing an allegedly defamatory news report.

City public prosecutor M L Jegan filed the case in the court of principal sessions and district judge for Jayalalithaa.
