The Mumbai Press Club on Monday has called upon Maharashtra police and the state government to take a serious note of the threats issued to senior journalist Nikhil Wagle by Hindu right-wing organization Sanatan Sanstha.

“Nikhil Wagle, a senior journalist, is also under threat. He has been getting threats from Sanatan Sanstha since 2011. The Maharashtra police has also found out that Nikhil’s name was mentioned regularly in telephonic conversations between arrested accused Samir Gaikwad and some other members of Sanatan Sanstha, including Rudra Patil who is absconding,” a release from the Mumbai Press Club said.
