The case against The Daily's managing editor and reporter for calling Wadia a 'spy' had been dismissed by a trial court in 2000.

After 15 long years, Bombay High Court reopened a defamation case filed by industrialist Nusli Wadia, against The Daily newspaper's then managing editor and a reporter who authored the alleged defamatory article.
