A local journalist working in restive Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, has been arrested and booked under “draconian” Chhattisgarh Jan Suraksha Adhiniyam by the Bastar police.

Santosh Yadav, a resident of Darbha town of Bastar district, writes for two vernacular dailies and is a popular journalist for his fearless reporting. Bastar district Superintendent of Police (SP) Ajay Yadav, however, refused to consider him a journalist.
