The High Court of Karnataka, Dharwad, has stayed the proceedings in a criminal defamation case filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president and MP Pralhad Joshi against Samaj Parivartana Samudaya founder-president S.R. Hiremath.

Mr. Hiremath told presspersons here on Saturday that a Bench comprising Justice R.B. Budihal stayed on Friday the proceedings going on in a district court here.
