Aul(Kendrapara): A rural journalist was attacked by some miscreants in Aul on Monday evening for publishing news on corruption in rural construction work. Alleging police inaction on the matter members of different media organizations today organized a meeting to decide future course of action.

According to sources, on news published in an Odia daily, a few days ago one journalist Saroj Kumar Dixit had got threatening from some persons who are supposed to involve in the scam but Mr. Dixit did not take it serious. On Monday when he was on his way to home some persons blocked his way and try to kill him by asphyxiation but he could managed to run away from them. Later with the help of his journalist friends he lodged an complaint in the Aul Police station.
“Since two days passed yet police have not taken action the culprits,” Journalist A P Sahoo said.
