Going by the promos of director Milap Zaveri's 'Mastizaade', it was common knowledge that the film will have a tough time getting clearance from the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC), especially due to the strict 'diktat' followed by its Chief, Pahlaj Nihalani.

According to a report on SpotBoye.com, 'Mastizaade' has been rejected by the Tribunal Committee, and the Sunny Leone-starrer adult comedy has turned out to be the first film in last 36 years to be deprived of clearance from the Tribunal.
