While the release of Dark Chocolate, a film loosely based on the Sheena Bora murder case, has been postponed by a month to March-end after Peter Mukerjea’s lawyers sent a legal notice to the Central Board of Film Certification and sought its release to be held back until the accused get to watch it, director Agnidev Chatterjee says the film is an “inspired”, and not authentic, account of the case.
On Monday, Chatterjee said, “Peter Mukerjea saw the trailer and assumed that one of the characters is based on him. He says whatever the character is shown doing and saying in the trailer tarnishes his image. But the character is not based on him at all — it’s a fictitious character.”
