The Bombay High Court on Wednesday refused to grant any relief to Peter Mukerjea and his kin who had sought a stay on the release of Bengali film Dark Chocolate, based on the Sheena Bora murder case.
A division bench of Justices SC Dharmadhikari and GS Patel gave this ruling while hearing a petition filed by Mukerjea, who has been charged with murder, and his sister Shangon Dasgupta alleging defamation. The petition states that Kolkata-based director Agnidev Chaterjee was openly promoting the film and its characters.
