Chief minister Oommen Chandy has filed criminal defamation complaint against Saritha S Nair and four media personalities for allegedly conspiring and creating a fake document for alleging sexual harassment charges against Chandy.

The case has been filed before Ernakulam chief judicial magistrate. The magistrate has posted the case on May 28 for hearing. In the complaint Chandy has said that along with Saritha and four other media personalities have conspired to publicly defame his name and career by levelling baseless allegation.

M G Radhakrishnan, editor, Asianet News, Vinu V John, Senior News Editor, Asianet News, Manoj K Varma, chief news editor, Kairali TV and K Rajendran, senior news editor, Kairali TV are the first four accused along with Saritha as the fifth accused in the case.
