The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the sedition case involving Prof Virender, a close aide of ex-CM Bhupinder Hooda, has added one more name in the matter. Adding the name of Jaideep Dhankar , ex-president of Rohtak district Congress rural wing, the SIT has also procured his arrests warrants from the local court on Monday.

Sources in police said that initially Dhankar had joined the probe, but he did not turn up for further investigations. According to SIT investigations so far, Virender had used Dhankar's mobile phone for contacting people allegedly to instigate them for a more aggressive Jat reservation stir.

"Even the audio clip, involving Prof Virender and Capt Maan Singh, which went viral on the social media, the former was talking through this number only. Virender had even admitted this in the investigations," said DSP Pawan Sharma, who is heading the investigations.
