Shiv Sena workers on Monday tore banners and posters of Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who is scheduled to perform in a concert in Ahmedabad on April 30.
The Sena workers have demanded that the concert be cancelled.
“When the country and Gujarat are facing a severe drought, it is pathetic that some people are organising concerts for Pakistani singers,” said Jitu Solanki, a local Shiv Sena leader.
Around two dozen activists associated with the Shiv Sena tore apart and defaced several banners put up in the city regarding the concert.
