MUMBAI: Revenue minister Eknath Khadse who is currently battling controversies after his aide was arrested by the anti-corruption bureau for demanding bribe has sent a defamation notice to social activist Anjali Damania.

The defamation notice that was served to Damania on Friday was for the comments she had made against Khadse and her family members while on a news channel.

"She has levelled baseless charges of corruption and highhandedness against me and my family without having a shred of proof and also made defamatory statements and so we have sent her a notice asking for explanation. We will wait for her to apologise or else take action,"said Khadse.
