A defamation case filed against senior Punjab Government officers by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD-Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann was dismissed by a local court today. He reached the court along with his supporters for the hearing.

This case was filed against the Punjab Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, DGP and ADGP (Intelligence) four years ago alleging that through media his image was being maligned by them. In 2012, Mann had filed a case under Sections 499 and 500 of the IPC of the IPC.
