Soon after an IAS officer in Madhya Pradesh was transferred for a purported anti-Modi post on Facebook, a tehsildar is in trouble for a pro-Modi post that takes potshots at “secularists and those with Congress mindset’’ for their inability to digest anything that is said in the Prime Minister’s praise.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, Ratlam tehsildar Amita Singh requested the PM to start “Rajiv Gandhi Atmahatya Yojana’’ so that “secularists and people with Congress mindset” can commit “suicide” rather than hear news about the response he got during his Afghanistan visit when “Muslims carried the tricolour and chanted Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram’’.
“I am a citizen of the country. I enjoy my freedom of expression. I like Modi so much that even if he joins the CPM, I will continue to praise him,’’ the 44-year-old officer told The Indian Express, defending her post as one laced with sarcasm. She said she did not mean offence to anyone.
