New Delhi, Jul 11 (PTI) A Delhi court has summoned as accused suspended BJP MP Kirti Azad, Bishan Singh Bedi and two others in a criminal defamation complaint filed by an under-19 cricketers father for allegedly making false statements with "mala fide intention" regarding his sons selection in a team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Metropolitan Magistrate Harvinder Singh directed them to appear before the court on September 9.

Complainants advocate Gajender Kumar said the court passed the order after noting that prima facie there was enough material to summon the four persons as accused in the case.
