A local court in Hisar framed sedition charges against Rampal, a controversial godman was booked in November 2014 for sedition and several other serious charges after he had allegedly stubbornly challenged the directions of the Punjab and Haryana high court, which had asked him to appear in person in relation to a contempt of court matter.
