Facebook took down 30,126 Indian posts in 2015 - the third-highest globally- for failing to meet its community standards, a move that has users and activists worried. The company's transparency report shows it increasingly playing nanny to India.

Zargar Yasir, a 23-year-old Srinagar-based security analyst, found his account blocked last week. He had reposted a 2015 blog about Burhan Wani, the Hizbul Mujahideen commander killed in the Valley on July 8. Yasir wrote it for The Nation, a Pakistani paper. The blog is still accessible in India.
