Kewal Krishan, 50, a journalist with Hindi newspaper Dainik Savera, was shot allegedly by SAD councillor Paramjeet Singh Pummy late evening Thursday. Kewal was also a financier in Dhuri area.
Neeraj, son of the deceased, said Pummy, a former president of the truck union in Dhuri, had taken a loan of Rs 10 lakh from Krishan. Krishan had gone to ask for the money back as his daughter was to get married next month.
