Mobile subscribers on Saturday appealed to the state government to lift the ban on Internet on the pre-paid connections in Kashmir. While the gag on postpaid phones was lifted on November 18, there was no word on lifting of Internet ban on prepaid mobile phones.
Even though many customers switched to Reliance Jio which offered free Internet services, many prepaid subscribers said that they couldn’t afford to buy 4G phones.
"Most people use post-paid connections now, but many of us have pre-paid connections. We can't afford 4G phones. So we want authorities to lift the ban on pre-paid Internet," said a subscriber.
