Central Board of Film Certification’s recent move and Pahlaj Nihalani’s statement, on top of that, has left the people of the country in shock. Despite the gay controversy that Beauty And The Beast has been facing in other countries, CBFC has given a clean chit to the movie in India, without any cuts.

The makers of the movie faced a tough time in many countries, including Russia, where the censor board demanded a few scenes that have homosexuality to be cut from the film. Later, those scenes were retained in the movie, but it got 16+ rating in the country. Furthermore, Malaysian Censor Board also didn’t approve of those scenes in the movie, and so, the makers didn’t release the flick in the Malaysian theatres.
