City Corporation Mayor V.K. Prasanth has sent a legal notice to Bharatiya Janata Party district unit president S. Suresh against the alleged false representation and character assassination of him by the latter.

In an official statement, the Mayor said that the past few days had seen the BJP raising false allegations against him through campaign rallies, notices, and posters. The allegations were baseless, as the Left Democratic Front (LDF)-led Corporation had been undertaking serious interventions in rooting corruption out of governance, and had not made any compromises in related incidents, according to the statement.
