Train service have been suspended for security reasons in the Kashmir valley as the pro-freedom groups called for a general strike in protest against the death of two civilians in Anantnag where two Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militants were killed in an encounter with the government forces on Saturday.
We have suspended all trains in the Kashmir valley for security reasons, a railway official said.
He said all train runs on Srinagar-Badgam in central Kashmir to Baramulla in north Kashmir have been suspended. Similarly trains operating on Budgam-Srinagar and Anantnag and Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu have also been cancelled.

The authorities have directed all cellular companies to continue curb on cellular and mobile internet services in south Kashmir to prevent spread of any rumour on social media.
