A photojournalist working with a local English daily was beaten up by government forces at Anantnag bus stand following a militant attack on Monday.
The journalist Sheikh Mashooq was performing his professional duties when he was assaulted by the forces.

Earlier, militants attacked a police party at the bus stand, leaving a cop and a civilian woman injured.

The injured policeman has been shifted to 92 Base hospital in Srinagar for specialised treatment.
