Day after Kashmir’s joint resistance leadership issued a week-long protest programme to commemorate the first death anniversary of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani on July 8, the police said on Wednesday that it won’t allow any rally that “aims at paying tributes to the slain militant commander.”
Kashmir range inspector general of police, Muneer Ahmad Khan, said police will leave no stone unturned to ensure that peace and law and order are maintained from July 7 onwards.
