Andhra Pradesh sources have stated that the opposition YSRC in Andhra Pradesh has filed a defamation case against Telugu news daily Andhra Jyothi in Hyderabad. Party Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy approached 17th Metropolitan Magistrate and requested the Judge to take action against the paper management.
Sources have stated that the said the news daily published in May and highly objectionable article which tend to bring disrepute and dent the image of party President YS Jagan.
Meanwhile the party delegation led by Jagan met Prime minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi in May and complained against AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for promoting defections in the opposition party. The delegation also brought to the notice of PM the plights of Chilli farmers in Andhra Pradesh. But the news paper published an article which was far from the truth, they complain.
