Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday suspended 4G mobile internet services after top Lashkar-e-Toiba commander Abu Ismail was gunned down in Nowgam. Abu Ismail was the prime accused in Amarnath Terror Attack. The move came after protests and stone pelting incidents were speculated in the valley.
After the encounter, Inspector General of Police Muneer Khan said the encounter was completed within half an hour. He was one of the prime targets. Khan was quoted by ANI as saying, “In a very brief encounter both the terrorists were killed. 2 AK-47 rifles were recovered. I take this opportunity to congratulate team. This operation is a result of people’s prayers.”
