Kalpetta town will soon be under 24x7 camera surveillance to aid law enforcement. A meeting of people’s representatives and officials of various department, chaired by C.K. Saseendran, MLA, decided to install surveillance cameras in the town from Kalpetta north to Traffic Junction here.

The project would be executed with the assistance of commercial establishments and banks in the town. The CCTV cameras of the establishments and banks would also be utilised for the purpose.

The police would draft a scientific project with the support of merchants’ associations within a week.

The project would be implemented utilising various funds of the municipality and funds of MPs and MLAs.
