A Hindu nationalist group has threatened to attack British cinemas that screen a controversial new Bollywood blockbuster, amid deepening chaos around the film.
The hardline group Karni Sena has called for violent protests by British Hindus against the historical epic Padmavati, after it was cleared for release in the UK. It comes after an official with India’s ruling party has called for Deepika Padukone, one of India’s biggest movie stars, to be beheaded for appearing in the film.
