Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh is facing trouble since its announcement. The movie was supposed to release this month, however, it has not been certified yet by the CBFC.
As per recent reports, a panel of historians will also review the movie along with the CBFC members. As reported by a leading daily, an erstwhile Mewar royal family will also join the panel to review and certify Padmavati. CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi called Vishvaraj Singh of the Mewar royal family to review the film.
Vishvaraj Singh told the daily that he wrote to CBFC for clarifications on certain matters of the film. Singh said that he wrote an email to CBFC on November 11, 2017, and December 1, 2017, to clarify some doubts about the film. He said, "The emails were not acknowledged or replied to.
