Mobile Internet and train service have been suspended in south Kashmir in view of killing of a top Jaish-e-Muhammad commander Noor Trali in a gunfight with government forces in Samboora village of Pulwama district on Tuesday.
However, train service from Srinagar-Badgam in central Kashmir to Baramulla in north will continue and all trains will operate as per schedule, said a railway official.
He said an advisory has been received from police to suspend train in south Kashmir on Tuesday.
Therefore, he said, no train will chug on Badgam-Srinagar to Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region.
An official said that Internet service was suspended “as a precautionary measure” to prevent the spreading of rumours.
