JUA expresses deep concern at the deliberate attacks on mediapersons covering impacts of Assam Bandh called by some minority organizations to protest attacks on minorities by Bodos. JUA demands the authority to take stern action against the culprits who targeted journalists. The agitator should know that the journalists are neutral observer and they are to report news impartially. JUA notes that mediapersons were targeted on August 11 near Azad Maidan when Raja Academy and another organization organized a rally to protest violence against minority in Assam and Myanmar. JUA also appeals journalists of the state to play a proactive role in bringing the state to normalcy.
