After four days of news blackout, people of Arunachal Pradesh received their morning daily newspapers today.
The media fraternity, which had gone for a complete shut-down of all media houses in Itanagar, met the Chief Minister Nabam Tuki yesterday evening and later resolved to withdraw the deadlock.
Journalists under the leadership of Arunachal Press Club and Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists put their grievances, primarily the security aspect, before Mr Tuki and even demanded that nobody outside the media fraternity be allowed to enter the newspaper houses after 5 p.m. everyday.
The chief minister directed the Itanagar Capital
Complex Authority to issue an order with immediate effect. SNS
