Indian cricket team's skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has sued the Zee media corp, IPS Sampath Kumar and News Nation for defamation and has approached the Madras High Court demanding a compensation of Rs. 100 crore.
Dhoni alleges the media house spread defamatory news about him related to the IPL betting scandal. The HC has restrained Zee TV from telecasting any news involving the India captain in the IPL case.
The judge has ordered interim stay of 2 weeks.
Dhoni leads the Chennai Super Kings franchise, which is owned by BCCI president N Srinivasan, in the IPL.
