Journalists were thrashed bitterly by police in Kurukshetra when they were covering the gurdwara possession issue by the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Managment Committee(HSGMC) in Kurukshetra, Haryana.
The situation deteriorated when members of HSGMC attempted to jump the barricade. Police canned the protestors. When journalists tried to cover the police action, the police targeted them and thrashed 20 journalists.
Among them six, including Ravi of Tribune, Puneet with PTC, Bharat Bhushan of Dainik Bhaskar and Jagtar of Zee News were badly injured.
Vishal Joshi of Hindustan Times was critically injured in the melee.
