In an op-ed piece titled "The Beast in India's Midst" Roger Cohen writes in The New York Times about India's "overheated media witch hunt" and the fact that " truth looks like a hostage to a new Indian political correctness and to old political scores; and an honorable, talented, crusading journalist, Shoma Chaudhury, has been misrepresented, hounded and ruined."
