Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has decided to hold charge of the information and broadcasting ministry during the period of sickness of Priyaranjan Dasmunsi. The latter is seriously ill since early October. When parliament was in session last month minister of state for external affairs Anand Sharma held temporary additional charge of this ministry, but in what must be a first, now it will be the PM himself.
