This account  in Caravan published on June 19 describes how a reporter in Delhi was attacked by people he was interviewing for a story on the demolition of a makeshift mosque in Sonia Vihar. They attacked him when they discovered he was a Muslim, snatched his phone and demanded that he delete the recording he had made. Over an hour and a half he was slapped, kicked and punched, while his laptop was taken from his bag and switched on. He lost the data on it, and was ultimately rescued by the police.
