The Delhi government has appointed a special officer to oversee the implementation of the Majithia Wage Board for newspaper employees. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia told a delegation of the Majithia Wage Board Implementation Sangarsh Samiti that the Labour department will submit a report into the implementation and enquire into allegations that employees were forced to sign undertakings agreeing to lesser salaries. He also said he would consider their demand for an intervention application in the contempt petitions before the Supreme Court, slated to come up on April 28.
