Allegations against Jaitley played down?

IN Media Watch Briefs | 24/12/2015

It is not unusual for a story which rages on TV networks on any evening to figure only in the inside pages of newspapers the next day. But when charges of nepotism are levelled against the finance minister and occupy prime TV time, one expects newspapers to also report them prominently. But with the exception of The Hindu, former hockey federation chief KPS Gill's allegations against Arun Jaitley found no mention on December 24  on the first pages of major mainstream dailies. The regional daily Malayala Manorama was another exception which played up the story on page one.
