The London High Court found the Pakistani ARY channels guilty of defamation for maligning the owner of Geo TV and the Jang Group, Mir Shakil ur Rahman. The court ordered ARY to pay £3 million in damages and costs. ARY failed to comply with the court's orders after which British media regulator Ofcom has revoked all six ARY Network licences and shut down three TV channels owned by the network in the UK.
