When the big day dawned it was like being back in 1982, with only Doordarshan there to broadcast it. Two anchors sitting in a studio dishing out banalities on the main channel, and Charu Sharma with a dishy fellow anchor borrowed from ESPN, on DD Sports. The only thing that possibly would not have been on air in 1982 was the lady's plunging neckline.
